The Centre endorses yoga classes at LSHTM

Beginning on 10 April, Gabriella Allman-Hussien and Amy Mulick will be offering weekly yoga classes at Tavistock Place and Keppel Street.

Gabriella will teach on Thursdays 17.30-18.30 in Jerry Morris B. Gabriella was first introduced to yoga in 2012 and soon became a regular on the mat, loving the intricate links between mind and body wellbeing.  She tried many different yoga styles over the years and mainly practices the Ashtanga system these days.  She loves all aspects of the yoga practice and feels it is an honour to share these teachings with others. Gabriella is a Yoga Alliance accredited teacher and continues to self study yogic philosophy and history. Gabriella feels that yoga is for everyone no matter what shape or size you are.  All abilities are welcome to her classes as adjustments and modifications can be provided. Gabriella’s teaching is focused on moving with consciousness and body awareness and she strives to balance a dynamic practice with a meditative approach. Drop her a line for more info:

Amy will teach on Tuesdays 17.30-18.30 in the Bennett Room. Amy is a Medical Statistician here at LSHTM and a qualified yoga teacher registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT200). She is a dedicated practitioner of ashtanga yoga and occasionally assists yin classes in south and central London. Her classes are dynamic, working with sun salutations, standing postures, seated postures, twists and backbends to build strength and flexibility, but they always include restorative elements and meditation to calm the mind. Options are offered to suit many levels, and beginners should feel especially welcome. Drop her a line for more info:

Advance booking will be essential to ensure there is enough space to accommodate everyone. Details will be shared through the mailing list, so be sure to subscribe! The cost will be £5, paid directly to the teacher. There will be a few mats, but participants are encouraged to bring their own as there may not be enough for everyone. Wear clothing you feel comfortable moving and stretching in.
